What I Use: Body & Hair Care
If you’ve seen my list of face and makeup picks, I’m sure you knew there was a selection of body and hair ones to come! I am forever trying new products. It’s not just that I am looking for something new. The truth is, as you age, what you need can differ from before. I learned this is even true for your hair. Just five years ago, I didn’t need any product in my hair except in-shower conditioning.
As in my previous post, there’s a mix of inexpensive and splurges
in here.
I do earn a small commission if you click on the links to

There is a brand you are seeing everywhere that has its own
cream for “bum” cream, stomach cream, arm cream, and more. It’s too pricey for
me, and I don’t have time for a different cream for every body part! I saw a
few reviews for this one by NatureWell. It definitely makes my skin smoother
and it’s a lot cheaper—especially at Sam’s Club.

NatureWell Rejuvenate & Tone Retinol
I love a product you can use for two things. It makes it
especially good for travel. This one is loaded with retinol for face or body.
This oil is great for stretch marks, scars, or just when
your skin is extremely dry and needs some extra moisture.
Nakery Instant Face & Body Perfecting Bronzer
I’ve never had much luck with bronzers or self tanners for
my legs. This one is different. It goes on easy, doesn’t streak, and doesn’t
end up on clothes. It also smooths legs and hides imperfections.

Australian Gold Instant Bronzer SPF 30
This bronzer is a lot more subtle. It just gives a hint of
glow, but it comes with sun protection.
Dr. Teal’s Body Lotion Sleep Blend
This contains everything you need for a good night’s sleep:
Melatonin, Lavender, and Chamomile oils. It’s also creamy and provides plenty
of moisture.

Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath with Epsom Salt and Hemp Seed Oil
Before you put on the sleep lotion, bath or shower with
this. It’s relaxing and I find it also helps with pain.
John Freida Blue Crush Conditioner
A friend of mine, who is a beautician, got me started with
this. I always used purple condition when I wanted to get rid of brass in my
hair. The problem is that it strips the yellow blonde when it’s really the
orange I want gone. I’ve switched to an occasional blue conditioner instead.
L’ange Envie
This leave-in conditioner, which
is full of nutrients and heat protectant, works great to smooth my air dry
hair.
