Grab the Luck of the Irish with these St. Patrick’s Day Treats
St. Patrick’s
Day is a fun holiday full of celebrating, which turns into serious imbibing for
some people. Here are some suggestions if you want to play it safe by staying
off the roads and getting some friends together for a party at home.
My friend Claire Smith has done some of her magic again for the upcoming holiday. Here are two of the recipes Belvedere Vodka’s Head of Spirit Creation & Mixology created to keep you thinking green.
Green Tea-ni Thyme
Add crushed ice and churn.
Re-top with crushed ice and garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge.
Kilbeggan’s Irish Whiskey was one of my big finds over the last
year. The double-distillation gives this whiskey a smooth, but distinguishable
flavor. It’s fairly new to the U.S., but worth looking for. Try it in this St.
Patty’s Day cocktail with another thing I’ve recently discovered I love –
ginger beer.
